D-Marie and Huw Botanical Gardens Canberra

D-Marie and Huw were married on the 18 of April at the Botanical Gardens. It was a very touching ceremony. Huw and D-Marie had been living in separate cities before the wedding and you could feel how happy they were to finally be together. We had a relaxing time taking the photos although a sprinkler came on whilst we were in the rainforest! I am really looking forward to catching up with Huw and D-Marie to do their album plan.

I had a CIT photography student helping me with this wedding, so thanks Jamila for a great job done.

Hilary George and I

My wonderful friend Hilary www.hwp.com.au was short listed in the "Head On" alternative portrait prize. We went up to Sydney for the exhibition opening, which was at the Centre for Photography.

George Negus opened the exhibition and it was a real pleasure to meet him. Hilary's entry was a very beautiful and sensitive photograph taken of her dear friend Billy just after his death from cancer. The winning entry was also of a person who had passed away. It was taken in a controversial way since the photographer straddled the coffin to snap the shot.

Megan & Chris Botanical Gardens Canberra

Megan and Chris married on the April 4 at the Botanical Gardens. Check out Megan's dress isn't it fantastic? We had a fun day with everyone so relaxed and happy, although Chris did look a bit nervous before the ceremony.

Megan and Chris went to the same school but the flame of love was ignited at a friends 21st.

After being together for 7.5 years Chris proposed to Megan at the Zoo (since she loves animals).

Lina & John married at Saint Christophers Cathederal, Manuka

What a warm and loving couple Lina and John are! I loved photographing this wedding and meeting their beautiful families. Lina looked like a model and I loved her dress. Although this was a long day (13 hours) it went really quickly as it was fun. Can't wait to show you all your photographs John and Lina!

Amy and Justin 21 March 2009

Amy and Justin were married at Nara Gardens by Roger Thomson. I loved Amy's and the bridesmaid's dresses. So glad that straps and sleeves are coming back into fashion
The guys looked fab too! The atmosphere was fun and Nara Gardens always yields great results.

I mucked around in photoshop last night with some of these images, looking for unusual and funky effects. I feel very chuffed with what I created. It's often late at night that you stumble on some great effects. Yet again too many brilliant photographs to choose from so I have uploaded a lot!
